Description

First discovered at Kappelwindeck near Buhl, Baden in Germany by GW Uhink. It was first sent to the UK (Wisley) in 1932 by Spath Nurseries of Berlin. An excellent well-flavoured damson which fruits earlier than most. The fruit is of medium size, oval shaped and blue-black in colour with bloom.This self-fertile culinary Damson is believed to have originated from Baden, Germany in 1894
