Crataegus coccinea Fthd 200-250cm (B)

Ultimate Height:

The common hedgerow tree seen covered in masses of pretty, fragrant white flowers during May. Is very thorny! Has diamond shaped, deeply lobed, dark green leaves, with paler undersides. In the autumn produces masses of bright red berries that are loved by our native and visiting birds. Height 7m (22ft), responds very well to pruning so may be used as hedging.
