Cultivated Blackberries and their cousins such as the Loganberry and the Tayberry are all descended from the wild blackberry (or Bramble). This means that they are adaptable to most soil types, easy to grow, and will tolerate some shade, but some varieties can be rather rampant in habit! However - the classic autumn taste of hedgerow fruit can hardly be beaten (think Bramble & Apple pie with custard!) and heralds the beginnings of stocking up in readiness for wintertime.
