Description
Hosui (meaning abundant juice) produces a large round russeted pear, that is very tender, sweet and aromatic when ripe. Introduced in Japan in 1972, from a cross made in 1954, this early-mid season variety is considered the best for its elegant flavour. Overripe specimens develop a rummy taste. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
