Received an RHS Award of Merit in 1906. Savoury, crisp yet melting flesh. Picked ripe these are a fabulous apple showing pink flush over cream. Often found in old orchards across Kent and Sussex, a very popular variety commercially at market in the early 1900s.This self-sterile dessert Apple is believed to have originated from Berkshire , UK in 1848
