Polyantha

A group of low-growing shrub roses, Polyantha rarely reach more than 90cm in height or spread. They are extremely hardy, producing large clusters of small blooms more or less continuously throughout summer and autumn, and have remained a more popular option for novice gardeners and horticulturists due to their low-maintenance and disease-resistant qualities. Similar to floribunda roses, the Polyantha rose plant is shorter with smaller blooms. While this may not be ideal for some situations, they are more or less perfect for edging borders, alongside pathways, and planting in containers - becoming almost completely covered in clusters of small flowers from spring through to autumn and even to early frosts. Polyantha roses also come in a wide range of hues and colours, such as bright whites, lovely soft pinks and bright reds. (Varieties include: 'Katherine Zeimet', and 'The Fairy').
