Welcome to RV Roger nurseries. Since 1913 we have been growing hardy nursery stock here in the Vale of Pickering, North Yorkshire. Over the past 100 years the range of fruit, ornamental trees and shrubs, roses and bulbs has expanded enormously, such that today over 16,000 plants, bulbs and seeds are here on the website for you to browse. We have supplied plants to Royal households, Chelsea Gold Medal-winning designers, RHS gardens and large estates as well as private gardens and allotment holders across the country. Our staff are all not only passionate about plants, but highly knowledgable and always happy to advise. We can take orders through the site or over the phone at the nursery. Enjoy our selection.

WELCOME TO RV ROGER NURSERIES
Bare root season now closed

The clocks are going forward, the days are slightly warmer and sap is rising.. and so it is time to end the bare root season for another year. Buds are just starting to break on many species, so we are unable to lift and move plants after the 5th April. If you have an order in with us, your plants will be sent out immediately on our return to work after Easter. The website will be updated over the next few weeks, to allow pre-orders for bare root trees, shrubs and roses for the new season starting in November 2024. We will also have containerised roses, herbaceous plants, grasses, ferns and autumn bulbs available to order, website will be updated by the end of April 2024.

Whilst the bare root season for buying rose plants may have closed, we have potted up nearly 6,000 rose plants in over 500 different varieties, for delivery over the summer months. The website has now been updated to allow pre-orders, and the roses will be sent out as from the end of May as soon as they are ready. Classic Hybrid Tea and Florbundas, as well as a superb range of old-fashioned shrub roses are available, all grown here in Yorkshire, and ready for you to enjoy fabulous colour and scent this summer. If the variety you are looking for is not available in a container, you can now pre-order from the next crop of bare root roses which will be ready in November.
