Description

Very old cider variety offering small fruit with a vintage quality sweet to mild bittersweet juice. Arose in Devon around 1710. Was extensively planted in the West Country. Sweet Alford makes a large upright tree giving good crops of sweet, crisp and juicy apples that make it a pleasant eating apple too.
