One of the best exhibition varieties, bearing enormous yellow-green fruit, and frequently winning heaviest in show. At the annual Gooseberry Show at Egton in North Yorkshire: ‘Woodpecker’ has recorded heaviest berry 12 times in the last 20 shows (2000-2019).
