Description

A hugely popular species that bears deep blue or purple flowers with a conspicuous yellow stripe running down each fall. Normally only one flower per bulb is produced. The leaves are square shaped, long and very narrow. The flowers have a slight fragrance. Native to Turkey and Iraq. It is quite easy to grow either in pots or in the garden. Height 12cm (5"). Flowers during March.
