Description
Malus toringo 'Scarlett'
£30.00 - £60.00
A wonderful small tree for with a long season of interest. Arching branches are smothered with dusky pink blossom in spring, contrasting against the purple new foliage. As the summer progresses, the leaves turn a dark green before changing to vivid hues of rich scarlet red in autumn. The small crab apples are dark purple and hang on the tree well into winter. Bred in Denmark and introduced in 2000, this is a superb variety and has already won the prestirgious RHS Award of Garden Merit.
