Description

A famous Japanese cherry, one of the most widely planted cherry cultivars in Japan. A hybrid which was born well over 100 years ago - the elegant flowers emerge on bare stems, white or very pale pink, in early spring. The folaige has a slight bronze tint when young, but ages over the summer to a deep green. Develops into a graceful wide, arching crown with age, so allow plenty of space.
