Purplish-pink blooms with brighter veins towards the centre, and papery, crinkly petals. Slight disease resistance. Raised by Jacques-Louis Descemet (France) 1815 from a cross between Rosa cinnamomea x R. Gallica.The best of the ‘Frankfurt’ roses, this makes a healthy almost thornless shrub, although the flowers are not rain-proofRHS AGM 1993
