Description

Deep crimson blooms unfold from even darker red buds, and are held in small clusters. Slight disease resistance. Raised by Charles Mallerin (France) 1938 from a cross between Souvenir de Claudius Denoyel x Ami Quinard.The blooms are so very dark and rich that the bush requires some careful placing to get the best out of their colour. Slightly lanky and prickly in habit - it benefits from training sideways to encourage flower breaks lower down the stems
