Description

A favoured French variety of Sweet Chestnut, Marlhac is noted for the medium to large nuts and reliability for producing a crop from a younger age, typically 5-6 years. A vigorous spreading tree cropping mid-late season. Makes a fine ornamental tree with large serrated glossy leaves that turn yellow in the autumn. Height 8-10m. Requires a pollinating partner.
