Description
No garden should be without a Yew, whether it be a long avenue of hedging or a single fastigiate specimen - it is the longest living species in northern Europe, with many churchyards having examples well over 1000 years old. The Yew has also very nearly indestructible and will happily tolerate intesive clipping, cutting and shaping and will growin in any position in any soil. Prepare the soil, feed and water regularly and you will be rewarded with up to 25cm of growth per year.
