Description
Sporobolus heterolepis 'Tara'
£0.00
For a compact version of the 'Prairie Dropseed' (Sporobolus heterolepsis), this is the ideal cultivar, with its fine-textured, green foliage that is shorter and more upright than the species. In late summer, airy, scented seed heads rise above the foliage and its blooms are uniform in height, making it ideal for mass or meadow planting. (The renowned garden designer, Piet Oudolf, chose Tara for the Lurie Gardens in Chicagos Millennium Park).
