Description
A heritage West Country variety, traditionally used to make a 'clean, brisk' cider. Produces heavy crops of small-medium sized green-yellow fruit which can develop a faint blush when exposed to full sun. Thin the crop in late May to allow the fruit to get to a good size. Has a good resistance to scab.
As the fruit has lower levels of tannin than other ciders, the fruit isn't overly astringent so can be succesfully used as an early seaon cooker.
