Description
Thought to have been brought over from France in the late 1600s, this is one of the finest-flavoured of the late dessert varieties - intense, sweet, richly aromatic flavour with an exotic scent. A very heavy cropper, but can be prone to canker in the wetter parts of the UK, although margells have been grown successfully in south Cumbria for 200 years. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
