Betula albosinensis

Description

Betula Albosinensis - or the Chinese red birch is a shallow rooting deciduous tree growing to 25 metres, and is native to Western China. A particular feature is the peeling copper pink bark which contrasts well with the ubiquity of the white and silver barked varieties. It produces brown catkins in Spring, and has a rich golden leaf display in Autumn.
