Description

Hard Fern. An excellent native fern, which is hardy, easy to grow and will quickly establish and naturalise in damp, slightly acidic soil. This fern produces two distinct type of frond - the sterile fronds spread out almost horizontally, whilst the fertile fronds are narrower, longer and more upright. The plant has been widely used as a traditional remedy for stomach problems, sores and skin disorders, as well as a natural appetite suppressant.
