Cercis chinensis 'Avondale'

Description

A selected form of the Chinese Redbud, which is much more compact than the American redbud, only growing to 2.5m or so. Dense, bushy growth covered with bright pruple-pink flowers in April. Green foliage which turns soft yellow in autumn. Fully hardy, but prefers a site in full sun or partial shade in fertile soil which doesnt dry out.
