Description

Found in Farleigh, Kent in 1820, by Mr Crittenden, this is a heavy-cropping small damson, producing lovely oval blue-black fruit with a purple bloom and greenish yellow flesh of exceptional flavour in September. Making a compact, pyramidal tree that is enormously fertile, this was awarded the RHS AGM in 2000.
