Description

A real curiosity, producing in early summer a huge purple spathe 45cm (18") high, resembling a steroid-enhanced calla lily Hardy and easy to grow in a sunny well-drained position. The lush foliage is marbled and deeply divided, like a dragon's claw. As the flowers are pollinated by flies, it does produce a strongly unpleasant odour the first day of flowering, but don't let this put you off as this is one of the most dramatic plants that we offer, and will be real talking point for friends and neighbours.
