Hamamelis x intermedia 'Aphrodite'

Description

A new cultivar which recently won a trial of over 50 different Witch Hazels. In February the plant is absolutely smothered with large deep orange-red flowers - a sight to brighten even the darkest of winter days. Like all in this genus, plant in sun or part-shade, in a rich neutral to acid soil which does not dry out in the summer. Eventual height: 5m (16ft).
