Description
A very old French cultivar of uncertain origin, and one of the very best culinary pears. The tree is compact and upright, a reliable cropper, and the fruit are smooth green to yellow-green with a pink flush. The flesh is best when cooked slowly (a couple of hours of gentle poaching is best), and when it turns pink - its ready! For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
