Description
Generally regarded as Belgiums National Pear, this variety was raised about 1811, and is still extensively grown there and in northern France. The fruit is medium to large, of good quality fruit, covered with golden russet, and with a sweet pleasant flavour. The compact habit and self-fertile nature of this variety make it a great choice for a small garden. Highly decorative in leaf, flower, and fruit. It does well in wetter areas. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
