Description

Recorded in 1801 by Forsyth - but likely to be rather older, this upright and spreading tree was one of the most highly regarded varieties in the Gowrie and Clydeside orchards of the 19th Century, superior to most other varieties grown there, and producing heavy and regular crops of medium-sized fruit with juicy, meltingly soft cream flesh with a sweet pleasant flavour with a hint of almond.
