Description
Raised in Santa Rosa, California in the early 1890s by Mr Luther Burbank, and brought to England by Messrs Bunyard of Maidstone. This is a very reliable variety which fruits prolifically, and has very good frost and disease resistance. The fruit is a wonderful vermillion red with bright green flesh, and although essentially a cooker, this is just acceptable as a dessert when fully ripe. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
