Description
Bred at the Stockbridge Technology Centre (STC), Cawood, North Yorkshire, in the early 1960s, this is a superb mid-season variety with a growing reputation for being one of the best modern varieties available. With a reputation for heavy cropping, producing long thick tender stems that are dark red in colour, it forces well, and is grown commercially in the Rhubarb Triangle of the West Riding of Yorkshire. It is good for wines, preserves, pies, crumbles, and has distinctive arrow-shaped leaves (hence the name).
