Rodgersia podophyllum 'Smaragd'

Description

A semi-dwarfing variety of the better known species, it has distinctively lime-green foliage that opens from bronze coloured buds - and bears plumes of creamy-white flowers up to 1.2m tall. Fully hardy, it appreciates a position in a moist humus-rich soil in half shade. Needs to be kept well-watered in high summer.
