A profusion of deep velvety crimson blooms which hang down and are protected from the wet. Slight disease resistance. Raised by Kordes (Germany) 1935 from a cross between Catherine Kordes seedling x W.E. Chaplin.Not the most vigorous of climbers, but its large flowers and heady damask type fragrance make it a very good choice for a red climber.
