An old favourite, deep red blooms with a classic shape. Free flowering, no fading of colour and very fragrant. Good disease resistance. Raised by Albert Norman (UK) 1940 from a cross between Crimson Glory (hybrid tea, Kordes, 1935) × Southport, and was introduced by Harkness & Co. Ltd. in 1946.
