Bright pink fading to pale pink semi-double blooms borne in small clusters. Good disease resistance. Raised by Georges Bugnet (Canada) 1950 from a cross between ([Rosa acicularis x rose rugosa kamchatica] x [Rosa amylotis x Rosa rugosa plena]) x ‘Betty Bland’, and was introduced by Johann Christoph Schmidt in .Easy to grow, tolerant of cold conditions and flowering up to the first frosts, this rugosa is unusual in that it is almost completely thornless
