Description

A fast growing tree to 20m plus. Conical in shape with striking, bright green, glistening foliage. In early spring it is festooned with yellow catkins and then in autumn bears round, woody fruits that persist well on the tree. Unlike other Alders this one will happily grow in thin, dry soils, but is also very happy next to water.
