Description
Raised by chance from a seed thrown out by Mrs Thomas Smith in New South Wales, Australia, this famous apple is hard and juicy. It requires a warm climate in order to develop any sugars or flavour, so is not a good choice for growing in the North. Cropping is good, although can develop a tendency to be biennial. Superb crisp flavour with some bite. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
