Description

A traditional English cider apple that offers a very high quality bittersharp juice in the same class as the famed Kingston Black. Came to prominence in 1920s from the Rodney Stoke area in Somerset where it was known as 'Neverblight'. Single variety cider made with this fruit is often highly scented. The trees have a rather poor natural shape but good overall disease resistance, and noted for its tolerance of shade, the crops are large but the tree can become biennial.
