Description

If you can provide a warm and sunny position, this is a gorgeous late season apple, with sweet, juicy melting flesh. Raised in Cross County, Indiana, USA in 1876, the large fruit are a lovely golden yellow flushed with a bright pinky-brown. Bears fruit when young, Winter Banana is used for juice, cider and as a dessert apple. Named for its reputedly banana-like flavour, it is sweet, aromatic and notably juicy, producing a good quality apple juice.
