Description

The main trunk develops a peeling bark of cream or pinkish-white, while the young stems are a lovely orange-brown. A native of E. Asia, this is a very tough birch which can happily tolerate thin, stoney soils. The foliage turns a delicate shade of yellow in the autumn.
