Ceanothus 'Burkwoodii'

Description

A wonderful, delicate looking plant that is actually as tough as old boots. Has whorled branches and deciduous dull green leaves, normally clustered at the tips of each stem. In late spring delicate of small bell-shaped flowers, up to 15 in a cluster, white with pink and red flushes, hang down beneath the foliage. In the autumn you are treated to a great display of red and yellows as the leaves turn. Does require an acid soil so grow in a pot if are on alkaline soil. Height 6ft (2m).
