Description

The gardener Jervaise Coe produced this - one of the best-flavoured of all dessert plums - golden-yellow fruit speckled with a cinnamon coloured bloom, with a very sweet, rich, apricot-like flavour. Raised at Bury St. Edmunds, in Suffolk in the late 18th century, this late-season variety can be shy to crop and needs a sunny sheltered site to prosper. Self-sterile, so needs a pollinator. This self-sterile dessert Plum is believed to have originated from Suffolk, UK in about 1800
