Description

Believed to have been introduced into France in the mid-1800s by a soldier, Nicolas Puy, returning from the Crimea, this is a high quality late dessert apple. Medium-sized pale yellow fruit, heavily flushed with bright red, firm flesh and a strong fruity taste with a good aroma. Good disease resistance and a fairly dwarfing habit make this suitable for the smaller garden (Available in very limited numbers). This self-sterile dessert Apple is believed to have originated from Somme, France in 1845
