Description

Raised in Coul, Ross-shire, by Sir George Mackenzie, this makes a vigorous spreading tree, which bears attractive fruit that are flushed red over gold. Cooks to a ‘brisk’ lemon froth. Scotland’s most northerly growing variety is sweet, with soft cream flesh. Also makes good sauce. It’s also an ingredient in Caorunn gin.This culinary Apple is believed to have originated from Ross-shire, Scotland in about 1827
