Description

If you only have space for one species then choose this one above all the rest. It is simply superb. Bears up to 10 lilac coloured flowers, quite variable in their shades from pale through to dark, all with purple anthers and deep purple, sometimes yellow centres. The foliage is variable to but is generally lightly mottled. Grows best in partial shade in soil that will get fairly dry over the summer. Height 15-35cm (6-14”).
