Probably the brightest, strongest red of any of the Crown Fritillaries, producing large flowers which hang in clusters. Tall and dramatic, but actually surprisingly easy to grow in sun or dappled shade. Plant the bulbs on their side - this stops water getting into the top of the bulb and rotting it during the winter.
