A very high quality second-early dual purpose apple, raised at Otford in Kent in 1904. Refreshing and slightly brisk as an eater, this also cooks very well, keeping some shape and needing no added sugar. Flat-round greenish yellow fruit which can be almost completely covered with a red-brown flush. Medium-large spreading growth.
