Description

Very old Scottish cooking apple, first catalogued around 1780. Very pretty pink blossom, and beautiful primrose yellow fruit, delicately flushed with pink, which cook to a creamy puree. Very popular and grown commercially in Victorian times, lost popularity when fruit started to travel widely as it tends to bruise easily. This self-sterile culinary Apple is believed to have originated from Edinburgh, Scotland in about 1780
