Description
Propagated from an apple tree growing on Bardsey Island, off the coast of North Wales. The tree stands in the garden of a house built by Lord Newborough in the 1870s and is though to be chance seedling from some time after that date. The medium-sized ribbed fruit are creamy-yellow with some pink stripes and flushing, with a distinct lemon scent. The fruit stores well until Christmas and also cooks to lovely straw-coloured fluff.
