Description

'Alligator' is a selected variety of this tall and vigorous, deciduous, perennial grass , that has strong upright stems bearing arching, broadly linear, yellow-banded, mid-green leaves. In late summer and early autumn, feathery panicles of purple flower spikelets are produced that slowly turn silvery-tan by wintertime.
