Description

A highly regarded old cultivar of Miscanthus that forms striking columns of silver-veined foliage, with large abundant flower plumes of the darkest purple-red in mid-summer, and which gradually fade to silver. The vigorous rounded clump of broad green leaves have a grey striped midrib, and can be used as a striking mixed-border specimen.
